About
Mathias & Mathias is an artist duo consisting of Mathias Dyhr and Mathias Toubro, collaborating closely since 2012. Mathias & Mathias functions as an umbrella under which the two artists shield themselves from the grand artist subject, becoming more headless than two heads thinking alike. They work in various media, including sculpture, social installations, text-based work, and, more recently, film. The duo often borrows themes and motifs from art history, artistic labor, and narratives, occasionally referencing scenes from the ‘Theatre of the Absurd.’
